WEATHER

5 day weather forecast-LONDON-OR-UK & WORLDWIDE

If you're coming to the UK to live and work be prepared for all types of weather and don't expect regular seasons. Best of all, be like the British; treat the weather like an exasperating friend that can be capricious and unpredictable but can also be surprising, uplifting and sometimes downright entertaining. And remember, while it may not often be hot enough to sunbathe or cold enough to ski, the beaches of southern Spain are only a cheap two hour flight away and the ski slopes of Europe can be reached in an overnight drive!

But don't take our word for it and try these sites: bbc/weather, ukweatherlinks, met-office.weather.org, meto, weather.com, intellicast, timeanddate, WorldClocks

MAPS & NAVIGATION

If you live in the capital, you'll be well aware that London's maze of streets can prove to be a minefield even for the most streetwise Cockney. So if you're visiting the capital you'd be well advised to take a look at this fantastically detailed site. The street maps of the capital are the equal of anything you'll find in an A-Z while the road atlases of the rest of UK are also colourful, familiar and easy to follow.
